Visa Affair

As a non-resident international student, you are required to secure a visa for entry into Iran. Because the visa application process can be a complicated procedure for students, GOUMS will assume the responsibility of the visa process for all prospective international students who have been granted admission to GOUMS. Consular affairs, managed by international students, are divided into two phases: the first phase involves the time prior to your arrival in Iran; the next phase relates to the period after your arrival.
Pre-Arrival
Upon declaration of admission, you are asked to submit the following items to GOUMS via e-mail; thus, your visa application procedure can commence:
  • A passport size photo
  • A scanned copy of the information pages of your passport
  • A Completed Visa Application Form
The visa process can take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to complete. Each successful applicant is assigned a reference number/authorization code by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. You will need the reference number/authorization code along with your original passport to collect your visa. Once we’ve received the reference number/authorization code, we will forward it to you via email. Then, you should schedule an appointment with the Iranian embassy or the consulate in your country to inform them check this on your application form. Take the obtained visa reference number/authorization code together with your passport to the relevant embassy or consulate to collect your visa.
