زمینه و هدف: کودکان مبتلا به اختلال کم توجهی - بیش فعالی (Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorders: ADHD) علاوه بر مشکلات رفتاری این عارضه (بیش فعالی، تکانشگری و کم توجهی) از نقص حسی حرکتی رنج می‌برند. مخچه به‌طور ویژه دروندادهای زیادی را از سیستم‌های بینایی، وستیبولار و حسی پیکری دریافت می‌کند و نقش مهمی در تنظیم تعادل دارد. این مطالعه به منظور تعیین ارتباط مشخصه‌های کینتیکی تعادل با نشانه‌های رفتاری در کودکان مبتلا به اختلال کم توجهی - بیش فعالی انجام شد.

روش بررسی: این مطالعه مورد - شاهدی روی 15 کودک مبتلا به ADHD در محدوده سنی 0.69±9.21 سال و 15 کودک سالم در محدوده سنی 0.75±9.27 سال انجام شد. شاخص‌های کینتیکی تعادل در شرایط حسی مختلف (بینایی، حسی پیکری و وستیبولار) از طریق آزمون SOT (Sensory Organization Test) با کمک دستگاه Neurocom اندازه‌گیری شد. میزان بیش فعالی و کم توجهی کودکان مبتلا به ADHD با استفاده از پرسشنامه کانرز والدین و همچنین با بررسی یک روانشناس به‌دست آمد.

یافته‌ها: براساس آزمون SOT ، نمرات تعادل در گروه ADHD نسبت به گروه سالم به صورت معنی‌داری کمتر از گروه شاهد بود (P<0.05). کودکان مبتلا به ADHD دارای اختلال در تعادل ایستا و تغییرپذیری بالاتر در متغیرهای کینتیکی تعادل در مقایسه با گروه کنترل بودند. بین بیش فعالی و مشارکت حسی در کودکان مبتلا به ADHD ارتباط آماری معنی‌داری وجود داشت (P<0.05).

نتیجه‌گیری: کودکان مبتلا به ADHD اختلال در عملکرد تعادل دارند که در نتیجه ضعف در یکپارچگی حسی و یا ضعف در توجه رخ می‌دهد. در تجزیه و تحلیل مجزا سیستم‌های حسی، نشان داده شد که عملکرد ضعیف سیستم وستیبولار و بعضاً حسی پیکری و همچنین وابستگی زیاد به اطلاعات بینایی عامل اصلی اختلال تعادل در کودکان مبتلا به ADHD است.
