Vision
We intend to become a leading and specialized center to empower students and researchers in the field of birth defects and disorders, and also to improve the quality and quantity of scientific and laboratory research in the field of congenital malformations in the country and region by 2025.
 
Mission
 The mission of this center is to conduct basic and applied research in the field of:

a) solutions to increase the quality of fertility of mothers in the country;
b) Research and development of diagnostic methods for birth defects and diseases.

Goals
G1: Improving the congenital anomalies registration system in order to increase the quality of fertility, make policies in the field of population increase and prevent the birth of abnormal babies.
G2: Qualitative and quantitative improvement of human and animal genetic, molecular research
G3: Obtaining the definitive approval of the center from the expansion council of the Ministry of Health 


Strategies and Objective Goals 

G1-S1: Use of congenital anomalies information registration system in Golestan province
Objectives:
1) Using the Information Collection System (HIS) in Sayadshirazi Hospital and collecting questionnaires from the Forensic Medicine Organization
2) Access to the information collection system of provincial hospitals (HIS) and access to the IMAN System to complete the information on abnormal births in Golestan province.
3) Designing a system for registering congenital anomalies of the cardiovascular system
 
G2-S1: Conducting studies in the field of generalizing the results of animal studies on fetuses
Objective:
1) Carrying out several animal research projects regarding the effect of some factors during pregnancy
 
G2-S2: conducting human genetic and molecular studies in line with the center's goals
Objective:
1) Carrying out several research projects regarding gene expression

G3-S1: Implementation of research projects and publication of articles by the members of the founding board and research council of the center
Objectives:
1) Publication of at least 5 articles by the responsible or first author indexed in ISI, PubMed, and Scopus with the affiliation of the center
2) Implementation and completion of at least 5 thesis and non-thesis research projects molecular research
