Considering the considerable prevalence of Congenital Malformations in Golestan province and the lack of accurate statistics and information on the amount and type of anomalies in order to adopt effective treatment strategies and optimal preventive operations, in order to prevent the occurrence of congenital anomalies, the Gorgan Congenital Anomalies Research Center aims to improve the level of health Pregnant mothers and newborns has started its activity since the beginning of 2005 with the approval of the Research Council of Golestan University of Medical Sciences. This research center, after obtaining internal approval in March of 2013, succeeded in getting approval in principle from the Vice President of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.
