Book compilation
Publishing two volumes of a book authored by a faculty member of the Infectious Diseases Research Center
Dr Hamed Kalani: " Apicomplexa and emerging, rare parasites in humans" published by the Golestan University of Medical Sciences.
Rank upgrade of the Infectious Diseases Research Center
According to the latest national evaluation and ranking of research activities of clinical research centers with more than 3 years of activity, the rank of the Infectious Diseases Research Center increased from 101 in 2017 to 71 in 2018. In the annual evaluation of the Ministry of Health, research activities of the research centers affiliated with the country's medical universities (public/private) along with the relevant organizations are evaluated. Indices related to the field of science production include: research output (publication of articles, abstracts and books), publication of articles in top journals (Q1), publication of articles with international cooperation, number of citations and H index from PubMed, Web of Science and Scopus.

About us
The Golestan Province is an endemic area for infectious and parasitic diseases such as tuberculosis, brucellosis, leishmaniasis, rabies, hydatidosis, leptospirosis, enterobiasis, ascariasis, Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF), etc. in Iran. In this regard, the Infectious Diseases and Parasitology Research Center of the university was established in June 2007 to overcome the existing challenges in the province.
Aims

- Upgrading and flourishing the scientific and research capabilities of researchers and experts
