Mission:
The Education Development Office (EDO) of the International Unit of Golestan University of Medical Sciences was established in 1403 in line with the policies of the relevant ministry and with the aim of improving the quantity and quality of education, curriculum planning, quality improvement and teacher evaluation. Based on the description of specific tasks and interaction with the Center for Studies and Development of Medical Sciences Education (EDC) of the university, this office operates in the areas of educational planning, evaluation, teacher training and continuous education, using the group participation of faculty members.

Specific goals:
Improving the medical education system and institutionalizing quality development through raising the level of education and learning to train capable graduates
Compilation and development of curriculum development
Implementation of evaluation (evaluation of professors, evaluation of educational performance of faculty members, evaluation of tests and internal evaluation of the educational group) 
Training and empowering respected professors based on the assessment of the educational needs of professors and holding workshops or educational conferences in groups that have specialized assistants (faculty & staff development) 

Sub-goals:
Providing advice to respected members of academic staff and educational groups regarding development projects and research in education, from idea generation to project evaluation.
Examining the adequacy of lesson plans and course plans offered in educational groups
Encouraging and persuading and providing advice to the educational groups of the faculty in order to make effective changes in improving the quality of the teaching and learning process
Cooperation with the center for the study and development of medical science education of the university in educational programs
Submitting a report on the activities of the development office to the vice-chancellor of the faculty

Description of duties:
Informing the professors about completing the four evaluation forms
Informing the students about completing the evaluation forms of the faculty members
Qualitative evaluation of the tests using Millman's checklist and completing the blueprint of the tests
Quantitative evaluation of tests using software
Feedback of quantitative assessment results to educational groups
Follow up lesson plan - LOGBOOK course plan - faculty members
Follow up on uploading lesson plans and course plans of faculty professors in terms of uploading them by the IT expert on the college website
Follow-up of internal evaluation of educational groups
Providing educational processes of educational groups to EDC of the university
