Why study abroad for your Medical Elective?

Taking on new experiences abroad, as a medical student, can expose you to new techniques and treatments that are hardly, if ever, seen in your own home country. Many students claim that undertaking a medical elective program abroad is one of the most rewarding endeavors of their undergraduate medical journey.
Alternative environments can challenge and encourage students to become more innovative in their skills and talents; thus, leading them to seek out creative solutions to medical problems. For example, because of the great number of patients and cases you receives during their elective period, you will  encounter a range of medical conditions you seldom experience in your home country. New cases may appear complex at first glance, but each new case will challenge you to understand and remedy illnesses that you are unfamiliar with. Such experiences, in turn, will broaden your scope of knowledge in the medical field.
Additionally, you will have the chance to train alongside skilled professionals from the region, if you choose to study abroad. Local professionals are willing to share their expertise with you and educate you on the healthcare issues in your host country. Additionally, despite the hard work of a medical student, living abroad can be exciting. You will be graced with a greater worldview by the rare opportunity of immersing yourself in a new culture, experiencing life in an entirely fresh setting, while living in the unique and colorful city of Gorgan.
