Introduction:
The Cancer Research Center officially started working with the approval of the University's Specialized Research and Technology Council dated 19/12/2014 and receiving the necessary permits in April 2015.
Today, cancer is one of the most common causes of death in the world, and its incidence and prevalence are increasing. In Iran, 92,000 Iranians are diagnosed with cancer every year, and unfortunately, according to the estimate, the rate of increase of cancer in our country is almost among the first countries in the world. Cancers with the highest incidence in men include skin, stomach, prostate, bladder, and colon cancer, and in women, they include breast, skin, colon, stomach, and leukemia cancers. Also, cancers with the highest incidence in both sexes are: skin, breast, stomach, colon and bladder.
Cancer has 2 main factors, the first category is genetic or non-environmental factors and the second category is environmental factors, 70% of cancer cases are caused by environmental factors; Factors that we are somehow involved in;
These environmental factors include weight gain, lifestyle changes, consumption of salty foods and processed salt, and smoking is among them.
