The second Golestan province health congress was held with the aim of promoting health literacy and cancer prevention with the participation of Dr. Haqhshenas, the governor of Golestan province, Dr. Akhavan, responsible for organizing health ministries of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Fazel, and a number of provincial and university officials.
"If it is not mental, physical and mental, it will lead to a decline in performance and we must admit that part of our society has a health problem.
He added: "If the Health Assembly is to be effective, we need to implement the output and then look for the next one."
He continued: Health literacy is very important, which is very low among our people and for example in the issue of nutrition our health literacy is poor.

The governor of Golestan, saying that changing our lifestyles is very difficult, said: "If change is to develop, that change must happen in schools and we must bring the health congregation into the schools."
"We need to change our health behavior so that our society changes over time and people's health literacy increases," said Dr. Haghshanas.

He said: Golestan province can be the pilot of cancer prevention in the country and I hope this will happen because of its background in the province.
He noted: NGOs should communicate with the provincial medical system and governors are required to cooperate with NGOs.
Dr. Fazel, the university's president, said there was no talk of a tsunami of cancer in the country at the moment;

 
He said the most common cancers in the province were breast, intestinal, gastric, lung, esophageal, blood and prostate cancers, respectively, and said that the incidence of cancer in men was somewhat higher than in women in Golestan province.
"Early detection of cancer can greatly help to cure it, which requires the cooperation of all organizations and institutions, especially NGOs, for the prevention and early detection of cancer," the university president said.
Dr. Akhavan, head of the NGOs Committees of the Ministry of health said: Golestan province is the second province in the country to hold the forum, a sign of the province's determination and empathy for health officials.

Emphasizing that we all need to feel more responsible, he urged all organizations and NGOs to help health authorities.
Dr. Kabir, the vice-president of the university, also emphasized the purposeful cooperation of health NGOs with the University of Medical Sciences.
He added that utilizing people's participation in the health sector can be seen as an important strategy in the health sector and said: "We need to use people's capacity to improve health."
