History of Reference Laboratory
Reference Laboratory of Gorgan University of Medical Sciences was established in 1376 In line with health reference laboratory policies and in order to provide the necessary infrastructure as well as strengthen its ability to run programs for health reference laboratory
Until 1386, the lab was working in the field of medical diagnosis. The medical diagnosis part has been closed since 1386 and laboratory work focuses on the following topics:
1- Educating and empowering of laboratory staff
2- Holding technical training courses for technical managers
3- Training, quality control and calibration of laboratories equipment
4- Production and distribution of blood and control serum
So far, this laboratory has held dozens of workshops and training courses and therefore has completely done his main mission in empowering laboratory employees. Other substantive measures of this center are as following: training equipment quality control from educational environment to the laboratory, combined theoretical and practical teaching as well as the successful production and distribution of blood and its serum
